How to become a Facial Specialist in Florida: Eligibility & Requirements
In Florida, becoming a licensed Facial Specialist requires completing 220 hours of approved education through a licensed school and submitting an application to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). Unlike many other states, Florida does not require candidates to pass a national written or practical exam for Facial Specialist registration. This streamlined licensing process allows graduates to start their careers faster while still meeting all professional and safety standards. Below are the current Florida licensure requirements:
- Â Be at least 16 years of age or have a high school diploma.
- Have a valid driver’s license, social security number or other form of identity.
- Take an approved HIV/AIDS Course.
- There is no Florida state board exam requirement for facial specialist, nail specialist or full specialist licensure.
